چکیده
This letter presents an automatic power amplifier (PA) design methodology that uses a multidimensional search algorithm to find the best compromise between fundamental and harmonic impedance terminations for specified bandwidth. In conventional methodologies, PA designers need preselect optimum impedances, which normally follow non-Foster trajectories, are thus impossible achieve with passive matching networks (MNs) wide frequency range. Instead, proposed method directly synthesizes MNs desired output power, efficiency, gain performance, without forcing any profiles. For that, load-pull data interpolated using artificial neural based on simplified real technique is used obtain MNs. Finally, validated single-ended implementation.

Radio Frequency Power Amplifier (RFPA) amplifies the communication signals to the required power level for transmission. It is the most power consuming stage in a transceiver chain; consequently, any improvement in terms of dissipated power and efficiency of the power amplifier affects the overall power budget of the transmitter. Also, efficient performance of the RF power amplifier over extend...

The recent surge in the demand for low power portable wireless electronics that can offer extremely high data rates has resulted in much active research in Ultra-Wideband (UWB) systems. UWB is widely recognized as a promising technology for high data rate, short-range applications with precise time resolution and high energy efficiency. All these benefits originate from the wideband characteris...

Background and Objectives: In this paper, a new design strategy was proposed in order to enhance bandwidth and efficiency of power amplifier. Methods: To realize the introduced design strategy, a power amplifier was designed using TSMC CMOS 0.18um technology for operating in the Ka band, i.e. the frequency range of 26.5-40GHz. To design the power amplifier, first a power divider (PD) with a ver...
